Fat has had a lot of bad press and for many people, just a mention of the word can evoke misery. You can try to lose it, try to hide it, try to avoid it, but your body still needs it! Did you know that fat helps to insulate our nerve cells, keeps us warm, balances our hormones, keeps skin and arteries supple, lubricates joints and is a component in every cell? The key issue here is recognizing which type of fat your body needs, how much your body requires and which type is your enemy. Armed with the right information, you can focus on getting more of the good fats and less of the bad fats into your daily diet. There are two types of fat to be aware of. Saturated fats - let's call them "the enemy" and unsaturated fats - "the good guys"! It is easy to tell the difference because saturated fats are hard at room temperature. • Stay in shape after weight loss
in HealthWeight LossBy - manoj on 10 Mar 2013With the healthcare industry coming up with newer programs and medications to aid the obese, people are also experimenting with different options to control their weight gain. Overweight people try out different diet plans, diet pills, exercises, and they also join Weight Control Programs to lose their weight. They often succeed with their objective, but only to put it all back again once the dieting fever is over. After significant weight loss, it becomes very important to pursue an exercise regimen strictly. Exercise is crucial to keep your muscles firm and helps tighten the skin. The diet plans must be followed even after losing weight. One of the biggest drawbacks to a substantial weight loss is the flabby skin that is visible and which often takes months to disappear. The way to maximize the number of calories we burn each day is not to give up sleep but to maximize our metabolic rate while we are active. Every study pertaining to weight control has laid stress on the fact that the people who are most active are most successful in sustaining weight loss. Most scientists agree that exercise is the single best interpreter of weight maintenance success. An equally important way is to seek and encourage the support of friends and family. Include them wherever possible in the healthier aspects of your new life. Support is extremely essential for anyone with weight loss and fitness related goals. Hence the baseline is to burn more calories than you consume, by either reducing your caloric intake, or increasing your daily activity as you lose weight so by the time you get to your goal weight, you can keep it off with your activity. The end result is a great start of long term weight loss plan and a healthier you.

  • History of Infomercials
in BusinessBy - Ajay on 09 Mar 2013It all began in the 1980’s. Ronald Regan was president and one of the many controversial things he did in that office was to deregulate the TV industry. Why did he do it? Well, as a conservative Republican he lived and breathed by the “free market rule,” which stated that the government didn’t belong in business, and businesses should live and die by the success or failure of their own practices and market forces. At the same time, cable TV was just starting its expansion into the American television marketplace, and that opened up a huge broadcast venue which simply didn’t exist beforehand. Anybody with any experience in the broadcast industry was starting his own channel and pretty soon cable channels were commonplace. The most successful channels at the time were religious based channels which were basically used for fundraising purposes. There were literally hundreds of them, from local, small time reverends and ministers with dubious backgrounds, to nationally broadcast spiritual and religious shows, utilizing well-known religious figures.
