Tasks of a Registered Nurse
A nurse is tasked to be the point of contact between the healthcare provided and the patient. Part of their job requires them to conduct rounds and to administer medication or other medical procedures. They also function as support to the patient and their families. A nurse is also tasked to become advocates to patients and partners in restoring or revitalizing their health. A nurse also covers treatment of patients and creation of plans to ensure that patients are put back on the track in achieving wellness.
The duties mentioned above are but just some of the expectations asked and set for a nurse. As you see, the profession really entails a lot of work to be done. Just imagine performing those tasks to a number of patients in a hospital or let’s just say a clinic. This just tells you how much labor is entailed in this line of profession in as much as the responsibility which is attached to the duties. Nurses are also expected to take extra caution and care when it comes to handling patients. This requires them to know that they are doing and to actually be good at doing them.
This is why it is extremely important for a nurse to understand and be very knowledgeable in creating health care plans. After all, this will determine how the patient is doing in comparison to what needs to be done for him or her to be put in a better condition.
